The Company's pipeline, derived from its proprietary macrocyclic template chemistry (MATCH™), modulates two key validated drug targets, ghrelin and motilin. Tranzyme’s lead products, ulimorelin (an i.v. prokinetic agent in development to accelerate GI recovery following abdominal surgery, and other acute gastric motility disorders) and TZP-102 (an oral prokinetic for diabetic gastroparesis) are potent ghrelin agonists both in late stage development. TZP-201, a motilin antagonist for the treatment of moderate-to-severe diarrhea, and TZP-301, a ghrelin antagonist for the treatment of metabolic diseases, are advancing in development.
